Mercedes decided to unveil a new special edition for a model which is quite close to its retire, the current S-Class range to be more precise. We talk about the Grand Edition, a special package that is designed for the Italian market and brings some aesthetic improvements along a decent range of engine choices. According to the official details, the new S-Class Grand Edition comes to celebrate all the vehicles sold in Italy, around 6,300 but also all the S-Class units marketed worldwide, more than 380,000.

Power comes from a range of four engines, two diesel and two petrol units more exactly. The S-Class Grand Edition comes with a 306 horsepower unit for the S 350 BlueEFFICIENCY version while a more potent variant, the S 500 with 435 horses is available as well.

If you are looking forward for reduced fuel consumption you can opt either for the S 250 CDI version with 204 horsepower or the S 350 BlueTEC offering 258 horses. On the other hand, the styling improvements are really noteworthy.

To begin with, Mercedes fitted the Grand Edition with the AMG Styling package which includes new front and rear bumper with air intakes, LED daytime lights, a set of 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with 255/40 (front) and 275/40 (rear) tires.

For now, the Germans released no pricing on the new S-Class Grand Edition but you will find all the details by contacting the nearest dealership as long as you are living in Italy.
